Piecing this one together feels like stepping into Brussels’ Grand-Place at the height of its most magical event! A dazzling floral tapestry of pink cherry blossoms and swirling teal waves stretches across the historic square, framed by ornate gabled faades and crowds gathered to take it all in.

Description

Building this puzzle is a chance to slow down and take in every petal of Brussels’ famous flower carpet, laid out here in a stunning cherry blossom design honoring Belgium and Japan’s long friendship. Millions of blooms form sweeping teal waves and delicate pink branches across the Grand-Place, echoing traditional Japanese motifs against the square’s ornate, pastel-toned architecture. Crowds of onlookers gather along the edges beneath a bright blue sky dotted with clouds, capturing the buzz and wonder of the real-life event. The contrast between the soft, organic flower design and the crisp geometric buildings gives this puzzle a wonderfully layered build from start to finish.

About the Artist

Mathilde Garcia spent years behind the scenes in museum conservation in Lyon and Grenoble before shifting into illustration full time, training at the mile Cohl school and launching her career in 2020. Her work is defined by a strong sense of place and storytelling, whether she’s capturing regional heritage, ancient history, or, as here, a beloved cultural event.
