Journey back to one of the ancient world’s most legendary monuments! Golden statues crown a sun-drenched marble tomb, a young traveler sits reading at its base, and distant sailboats drift across a turquoise sea below a sky full of soaring birds.

Description

Mathilde Garcia brings her signature warmth and storytelling eye to this striking tribute to the Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Built in the 4th century BC to honor Mausolus, the towering marble structure rises in soft golds and creams, its colonnade lined with statues and crowned by a gleaming horse-drawn chariot. A young woman sits reading at the monument’s base, grounding the scene in a quiet, personal moment, while ships sail a turquoise sea in the distance and birds circle overhead. Layered clouds, greenery, and wildflowers soften the grandeur of the architecture, creating a dreamy blend of history and everyday stillness.
