Take to the skies with John Bradley’s series of warfighter puzzles. This one shows “the Red Baron” retreating in one of his final dogfights of World War I. Manfred Albrecht Freiherr von Richthofen, known in English as Baron von Richthofen or the Red Baron, was a fighter pilot with the German Air Force, and is largely considered one of the most successful flying aces of that time. His Fokker Dr. I triplane instilled fear in the British troops, which eventually found their footing in air superiority. In this action-packed puzzle, the Red Baron retreats under fire of two Sopwith Camelsperhaps one of these is the very plane eventually credited with his defeat.
